Overdressed dogs could be fined
February 6, 2009
I have to say that I agree somewhat with the RSPCA Britain on this one. According to the Daily Mail website, the RSPCA in Britain has threatened legal action against pet owners who “overdress” their dogs.
The RSPCA believe that dressing pets in human-like garments — such as boots, overalls and hoodies — could be harmful for dogs, and owners could be prosecuted if an animal’s welfare was deemed to be at risk.
I think so long as it a just a tshirt, jumper or hoodie than I don’t think there is a problem after all it help for owners to form closer bonds with their dog if they can play dress-ups!
